The launch of QuixotiQ, my debut novel, has been recently described as one of the most “influential and memorable” events of 2004!

 

In the latest edition of Gulf Weekly, a list of 10 major and important events and features of the year here in Bahrain were listed. Among them was the release of QuixotiQ. I was dead chuffed to read the article and find out that I’ve made it into the top 10.

 

It’s a wonderful feeling to know that someone would actually rate my book as such. QuixotiQ was a personal endeavour which I honestly did not think it could become a national event at any point.

 

Unforuantly there is no direct link to that article, as it is not posted online at their website. It was written by Arran Dall, rounding up “the 10 most influential and memorable events that affected Bahrain’s consciousness and image over the past 365 days.”

Yesterday I also managed to finally, at long last, finish chapter 14 of my second novel Buried. This was one of the longest and most grueling chapters. It is meant to be the connection point of two of the main characters in which I was attempting to build a closer relationship and bond them and also reach a very ital curve into the plotline of the story.

 

For some reason I took me a very, very long time to complete, perhaps because it’s been a tough couple of months to write in, perhaps I was a little scatterbrained in regard to where and how this was going. But now it’s done, at a little over 4,190 words!

 

I’ve already started the next couple of chapters but these I’m not entirely sure at what stage they’ll come in the story. This also means that I’ve finally, just barely, passed the 40K word count… half way through ladies and gentlemen.
